According to Variety, the comedy writers are negotiating a deal with Columbia Pictures to helm I Hate You Dad, a new comedy from scriptwriter David Caspe.
The film stars Sandler as a father who ends up moving in with his son, played by Adam Samberg, and his fiancée, only to begin feuding with his future daughter-in-law.
Anders and Morris have written a number of successful comedies in recent years including She's Out of My League, Hot Tub Time Machine, and Sex Drive.
If a deal goes through, I Hate You Dad will mark John Morris' directorial debut.
