Will Smith has signed up to star in a feature adaptation of late Sixties TV show It Takes A Thief.
In the film, Smith's professional thief will be blackmailed by the government to do their bidding under the supervision of the CIA.
Paul Lovett and David Elliot (The Watcher, Four Brothers) will write the script for the project which, according to Variety, was set up almost ten years ago as a potential vehicle for Michael Douglas.
The show ran from 1968-1970 and starred Robert Wagner.
