Eckhart: 'I broke my arm on Battle: LA set'

Aaron Eckhart has revealed that he broke his arm while attempting to perform one of his own stunts on the set of Battle: Los Angeles.

Appearing on Lopez Tonight, the actor recalled falling while trying to perform a scene which required his character to jump through a fireball, causing him to slip and plummet seven feet down to the ground.

"There was this beautiful fireball that was going up. And I wanted to do a [Michael] Jordan through the fireball... and so I say to the camera man, 'I'm gonna do this, you catch me like this,'" he explained.

"I went, slipped, fell seven feet onto my head, and my arm just goes crack. And I had to pick up this big thing, this heavy thing, and my arm's broken, and I'm sitting there, burning... It's great for the movie though!"

Battle: Los Angeles opens March 11 worldwide.
