The Rome star admitted that the big screen future of the vigilante is uncertain after the movie rights switched from Lionsgate back to Marvel Studios.
"It's way out of my hands. If it's on my path to do him again, I'll definitely do my best," the actor told Cinema Blend.
Stevenson is among the cast for next month's Marvel adaptation Thor as Volstagg, one of the Warriors Three alongside Fandral (Josh Dallas) and Hogun (Tadanobu Asano). The 46-year-old revealed that he may return to the character in later Marvel pictures.
"It may be that the Warriors Three, you know, gets seen in [The Avengers] or in a different place or indeed that story roles into a different direction," he commented.
