Diane Lane: 'Superman will be a wild ride'

The Oscar-nominated Unfaithful actress, who will play Clark Kent's adoptive mother in the Warner Bros superhero revamp, described the film's director Zack Snyder as an "audacious, brilliant man".
"I love 300 and I'm very flattered to play Martha Kent and live up to his vision," she told USA Weekend.
"It's pretty cool. I've always wanted to raise a good man. I thought that was the biggest challenge a woman could have, and so I get the embarrassment of riches."
Henry Cavill will lead the cast of the Christopher Nolan-produced reboot, while Kevin Costner has been rumoured for the role of Jonathan Kent and Viggo Mortensen as Superman's Kryptonian nemesis General Zod.
Superman begins shooting later this year for release in December 2012.
