'Inside Man' overcomes 'Vendetta' in US

'Inside Man' / Universal
Spike Lee's bank heist thriller took $29.0m in its debut weekend, whilst V earned itself $12.3m, a substantial 52% drop from its $26.1m gross last weekend.
The week's other major new releases were horror Stay Alive and Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector. which opened third and seventh place respectively.
