The 21-year-old Australian actress, who is best known for Wasted On The Young and Love My Way, said that her character in the horror remake is nothing like any acting job she has ever had before.
Clemens told The Daily Telegraph: "It's going to be very different from all the other roles I have done. Most of my work will be running and screaming. Mainly it's just getting fit enough to be able to do a running sequence for 18 hours straight. But I am looking forward to getting my teeth into some kung fu training.
"Most of the films I have done have been independent and it's all about getting the shot done as quickly as possible. This will be the opposite of that. I think the change is going to be very interesting.
"I'll be putting the same amount of energy into addressing this role, but it's going to be a lot more physical and trying to keep it - the stages of fear - believable.''
Clemens recently started filming in Toronto alongside Radha Mitchell and Sean Bean, who also starred in the original movie.
