Tom Hanks lines up 'Starbucks' movie
Published Tuesday, Mar 28 2006, 14:28 BST | By Daniel Saney
Tom Hanks will take the lead role in an adaptation of Michael Gates Gill's book How Starbucks Saved My Life.
Universal Pictures have acquired the rights to the memoir by the former executive who found himself out of a job due to downsizing. Unemployed and deserted by his family after an affair, he underwent the apparently life-affirming experience of working in a local coffee shop.
Gus Van Sant (Last Days; Good Will Hunting) is attached to direct, whilst Hanks will produce with partner Gary Goetzman.
