Seth Rogen has said that he is excited to be starring opposite Broadway legend Barbra Streisand in the upcoming Anne Fletcher-directed comedy My Mother's Curse.

The duo will play a mother and son who head out on a road trip together, and Rogen has admitted that he is enjoying getting to know the Academy Award-winning actress.

"I've met her only a couple of times so far but she's really funny and nice and really reminds me a lot of my actual mother, which is very odd," Rogen told E! Online. "My girlfriend's like a huge Barbra Streisand fan."

Despite his enthusiasm for working with the singer, Rogen claimed that there is no chance that he will be tempted to perform a musical number with Streisand as part of the film.

"There's no singing in the movie," he explained.

It was recently reported that the creators of the Broadway musical Gypsy had declined the opportunity to have Streisand star in a film adaptation of the production.

My Mother's Curse is due to begin filming later this year.
