Justin Bieber in Never Say Never
Paramount's recent 3D documentary film Justin Bieber: Never Say Never has surpassed Michael Jackson's This Is It to become the most successful concert-themed film domestically.

Never Say Never has so far taken a domestic total of $72.2 million since its release in early February, compared to the $72.1 million brought in by This Is It back in 2009.

The John Chu-directed film tells the story of Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber's rise to fame over the past few years, interspersing home video footage of the 17-year-old with footage from his 2010 'My World' tour.

Despite the film's domestic success, it is still a long way off matching the international success of This Is It, which took an overall $189.1 million worldwide, while Never Say Never currently stands at only $10.8 million internationally.

By comparison, Miley Cyrus's Best Of Both Worlds concert film earned only $5 million internationally, while the Jonas Brothers' The 3D Concert Experience fared even worse, taking only $4 million in overseas territories.

Never Say Never received a box office boost at the end of February, when Paramount released an updated 'Director's Fan Cut' of the film featuring additional footage.
