'Battle: Los Angeles' leads Aus box office

Battle: Los Angeles has topped the Australian box office on its debut weekend on release.

The action movie, starring Aaron Eckhart as a marine leading the fight against an alien invasion, nets $2.5 million in ticket sales to top the chart ahead of last week's number one Rango.

Bradley Cooper thriller Limitless is a new entry at number three with a $1.8 million debut haul, while Hall Pass and The Adjustment Bureau complete the top five.

The King's Speech is at number six and has so far grossed more than $29 million since its release in January.

Elsewhere, I Am Number Four is the biggest chart faller as it tumbles down four spots to number eight.
