Just Jared Jr quotes the 22-year-old Melbourne native as saying that she and her female co-stars developed closer friendships while filming the intense action sequences.
"The first thing we had to do together was fight," she said. "[We had to] lift weights, cry, sweat, get hurt and get bruised. It's a whole new level of bonding... Automatically, there was a sisterhood."
Browning also explained that she was not familiar with the precision required to fire guns before signing on to play Babydoll in Sucker Punch.
She explained: "The fact that I can use a gun now, it's [become] kind of second [nature]… I mean, it's still scary but…before I did this film, I never liked guns at all."
Her co-star Vanessa Hudgens recently credited starring in director Zack Snyder's fantasy film with helping her to improve her acting skills.
Browning previously revealed that she turned down the opportunity to audition for the role of Bella Swan in Twilight.
Sucker Punch is released on March 25 in US cinemas and on April 1 in the UK.
