'Brokeback' banned from Bahama cinemas

The Bahamian Plays and Films Control Board banned the film for its "extreme homosexuality, nudity and profanity," adding that it had "no value for the Bahamian public".
Theatre director Philip Burrows noted: "You have a group of people who are telling grown men and women what they can and cannot watch. I cannot understand denying people the right to make their own choices."
Gay rights group The Rainbow Alliance said it was farcical that the group should try to govern "the moral compass for the entire country."
