Cox, Arquette: 'Family shaped Scream 4'

Courteney Cox and David Arquette have been reunited during a press conference for the forthcoming release of Scream 4 held in LA on Wednesday.

The former couple, who announced their decision to separate after 11 years of marriage in October 2010, were reportedly in good spirits at the event and spoke about the important role that their real-life relationship played in the completion of the film.

"There's a real family feeling," Arquette explained to People.

"Especially with Courteney being married and having a kid, it just brings an honesty, and that is really my favourite part of acting."

Cox added: "It felt very natural. We have had ten more years of experience of acting, so I was that much more confident. I am now a mum, and I am just a different person, but it's coming back with your family.

"You know each other, and you kind of just get right back into it and [are] better than you were last time."

The pair, who were recently spotted out together in Malibu, have not filed for divorce.

Arquette has revealed following the split that he wants to reunite with Cox, who also admitted to still having feelings for her husband.
