The British filmmaker told The Times that he plans to move away from science fiction once he has completed his third movie in the genre. Jones said that his next sci-fi project will shoot in locations around the globe and "indulge my love of special effects".
Of his plans for a movie set during World War II, Jones remarked that it will centre on "a group of guys on a mission".
Jones also recently admitted that he wants to make a black comedy with Simon Pegg inspired by '60s film Peeping Tom.
Source Code will open in UK and US cinemas on April 1.
