Will Sasso cast in Farrellys' 'Three Stooges'

Will Sasso has reportedly been signed up by the Farrelly brothers to star in their upcoming remake of the comedy classic The Three Stooges.

According to Deadline, the $#*I My Dad Says star will portray Curly, a part originally played by the late Jerome Howard.

While the roles of Larry and Moe have yet to be officially cast, The Simpsons voice actor Hank Azaria is said to be the frontrunner to play authoritarian Moe, while former X-Men actor James Marsden is up for the part of simpleton Larry.

"There will be non-stop slapping, more in the tone of Dumb And Dumber than anything else we've done," the Farrelly brothers said of the project. "It's by far the riskiest project we've ever done, without question, but it is also the one closest to our hearts."

Other actors rumoured to be under consideration for the film include Justin Timberlake, Larry David and Johnny Knoxville.

Further casting announcements for The Three Stooges are expected over the next few weeks.
