'Thor' to feature Hawkeye cameo

Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye cameo in Thor has been officially confirmed.

During Paramount's Marvel presentation at CinemaCon, preview footage of the movie showed the actor portraying the expert marksman, Cinema Blend reports.

Elsewhere, concept art depicting Renner's Hawkeye has been spotted by Super Hero Hype. The website revealed that the rendition resembled Bryan Hitch's incarnation of the character, created for the Ultimates comic series.

"In the concept art, we see Renner wearing similar dark glasses and a leather outfit with a matching over-the-shoulder leather quill for his arrows, only the movie version of Hawkeye has the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo emblazoned on it to show his government allegiances" the report stated. "His precision bow is much like the one used by archers who do it for sports and hunting."

Directed by Kenneth Branagh, Thor stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins and Tom Hiddleston. The movie arrives in theatres on May 6.

Renner will reprise his Hawkeye role for The Avengers in 2012.
