Oscar Isaac: 'Bourne Legacy link is awesome'

Oscar Isaac has said that it is "awesome" to be linked to the lead role in the relaunched Bourne franchise.

Last month, it was claimed that the Sucker Punch actor was being considered for the part in The Bourne Legacy alongside Jake Gyllenhaal, Tobey Maguire, Josh Hartnett, Michael Fassbender and others.

It was confirmed last year that Matt Damon's Jason Bourne character would be written out of the franchise.

Asked about being connected to the part, Isaac told DS: "It's awesome. Definitely it's cool to be mentioned in something so incredible."

On whether he had much contact with producers, he added: "Not really, [I'm] just waiting to see how it all plays out... but the fact that I'm in the mix in that thing is pretty cool."
