As previously reported on DS, long-anticipated speculation over the film was finally confirmed to be a reality in a trailer shown at screenings of Ice Age 2: The Meltdown over the weekend.
"[The film] was enormously challenging, because it involved filling 120 blank pages with an actual story and words people say," said James L. Brooks, show producer.
Appearing in the movie will be regular stars Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria, Harry Shearer, Pamela Hayden and Tress MacNeille. Guest stars include Erin Brockovich, Minnie Driver and Albert Brooks.
"We're very excited about the performances in this movie," said creator Matt Groening. "Come next Oscars, we think it's going to be Milhouse's night."
The film will be released worldwide on July 27, 2007.
