Published Thursday, Apr 6 2006, 09:20 BST | By Neil Wilkes
The updated version of The Poseidon Adventure is to receive its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Poseidon, directed by Wolfgang Petersen (Troy, The Perfect Storm), has a star cast including Kurt Russell, Josh Lucas, Richard Dreyfuss, Emmy Rossum and Mia Maestro. The movie will premiere on Saturday, May 6, just ahead of its worldwide release on May 12.
"We are truly honoured and delighted to be a part of the Tribeca Film Festival and to offer New York audiences advance passage on Poseidon," said Petersen. "Poseidon was made for audiences like this, people who truly love movies and the film-going experience, who go to the theater expecting to be transported to a entirely different world."
