Russell Brand in talks for 'Rock of Ages'

According to The Wrap, the Get Him to the Greek actor is in final negotiations to play a rock star.
"Everything is in the negotiations phase," director Adam Shankman said about Brand's involvement in the forthcoming musical.
Brand previously admitted that he is interested in appearing in the project.
Shankman also confirmed that Diego Boneta has landed the role of singer-guitarist Drew Boley.
Paul Giamatti and Amy Adams are also attached to star in the film.
Tom Cruise previously landed the role of lead character Stacee Jaxx in the film adaptation of the metal musical of the same name, which incorporates 1980s rock anthems from Bon Jovi, Poison and Twisted Sister.
Brand will next be seen in Arthur, opening this Friday in US cinemas, and on April 22 in the UK.
