Kristen Stewart 'great Breaking Dawn vampire'

Kristen Stewart's Twilight co-star Jamie Campbell Bower has praised the actress's skills portraying a vampire in the upcoming Breaking Dawn - Part 2.

Campbell, who was introduced to the saga in New Moon as Volturi member Caius, told MTV News that Stewart's performance is proof of how well producers did in selecting her for the role of heroine Bella.

He said: "She's great as a vampire. I think she's perfect and they did a great job casting those movies."

Earlier this year, Stewart was reported to have injured herself while filming for the next instalment of the franchise, resulting in her arm being in a cast.

Speaking of the tone of Breaking Dawn, Campbell said: "The film itself, it's much darker than the first three. It's got a grittiness to it. From our side, the Volturi side, you really get to find out how messed up these characters are and just how badass they are.

"We're really evil people. I was always like, we're not evil, we're trying to keep it cool, but they are nasty blokes. So from us, you get to see how screwed up we are. That was great fun to play, just screw about on set and do as much as possible and be theatrical."

He added: "To be a part of something that is such a success and has influenced so many different things, I'm really honoured to be able to do that."
