The Amazing Spider-Man actor C. Thomas Howell has revealed that the crew of the superhero reboot are heading to New York to wrap up production.

Howell plays a character named Ray in the film, and added to PopStop TV that he loved being involved in the project.

"I'm done," he said. "They're going to New York to film the rest. I'm a huge fan. It was an amazing experience [and they're] a great group. Sony was amazing, and I was just proud to be a part of it."

The Outsiders star also enjoyed filming in 3D, saying: "Everything is twice the size of what you're used to. One of the exciting things about it was watching the replays with your glasses on and seeing it right after you shoot it in 3D.

"That was amazing. I was learning a lot, [since] it was my first time."

Howell, who can be seen as Officer Dewey Dudek in the police drama Southland, previously leaked who the main villain of the Spider-Man reboot will be. The movie has been given a July 2012 release date, and stars Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy.
