The Shaun Of The Dead director's co-writer Joe Cornish confirmed at this weekend's Kapow! Comic Con that a second draft of the superhero film had been completed.
Cornish announced to Bleeding Cool: "We delivered the second draft of Ant-Man two days ago, and we're really happy with it."
The project, which has yet to be officially greenlit, is reportedly being lined up to follow Marvel's 2012 vigilante-team up The Avengers, and has been given a tentative release date of 2014.
Wright resumed work on the Ant-Man script in January after taking a leave of absence to complete Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World.
Wright previously stated his desire to create a "bad-ass" Ant-Man adaptation.
