'Ice Age' still reigns at US box office

The animated sequel took around half of last week's figure with $34.5m, which still left it respectably ahead of the weekend's strongest new entry ,The Benchwarmers, which took $20.5m. Meltdown's earnings over the weekend brought its cumulative earnings to $116.4m, making it the first film of the year to pass the $100m mark in the US, according to BBC News Online.
Take the Lead debuted in third place, with former number one Inside Man and new entry Luncy Number Slevin completing the top five.
