Perry will appear in the film, in which Romijn will play a corporate executive who becomes a mother, reports Deadline.
The Lionsgate/34th Street Films picture will begin production on April 25 in Atlanta.
Romijn recently admitted that her twin daughters Dolly and Charlie are currently going through the 'terrible twos'.
The actress is perhaps best known for portraying mutant Mystique in the X-Men movies, a role that Jennifer Lawrence will play in the forthcoming X-Men: First Class.
Perry's previous films include For Coloured Girls and I Can Do Bad All by Myself.
