John C. Reilly for 'Hunger Games' Haymitch?

John C. Reilly is reportedly in talks to join the cast of The Hunger Games.

According to New York Magazine, the actor is expected to be offered the role of Haymitch Abernathy, the game's only winner from the book's fictional world of Panem's District 12.

He is said to have ended talks to star in the upcoming Disney feature Oz, the Great and the Powerful alongside James Franco in order to pursue the Hunger Games part.

Much of the film's cast has already been revealed, with Winter's Bone star Jennifer Lawrence taking on the lead role of Katniss Everdeen, while Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson will portray Gale Hawthorne and Peeta Melark respectively.

Elizabeth Banks was also cast for the role of Effie Trinket and will be joined by newcomer Willow Shields as Primrose and Dayo Okeniyi and Amandla Stenberg as Thresh and Rue.

One Tree Hill actress Leven Rambin has also been confirmed for the role of Glimmer.
