According to The Sun, director Matthew Vaughn has selected the group's track 'Love Love' to play over the end credits of the Marvel blockbuster. Vaughn previously used Take That's 'Rule The World' to close his 2007 fantasy film Stardust.
"Matthew invited Gary [Barlow] over to his house and asked him to bring some tracks he thought were suitable for the film," a source reportedly said of the group's X-Men involvement.
"He instantly took a liking to 'Love Love' and felt it summed up the tone of the movie. Gary was chuffed as it means a global audience will hear the record."
'Love Love' will be released to tie in with X-Men: First Class's cinema release on June 1. James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence star in the prequel, which charts the early years of mutants Professor X and Magneto.
Take That embark on their two-month 'Progress' arena tour at Sunderland's Stadium of Light on May 27.
