According to The Hollywood Reporter, the relative unknowns will play the District 4 tributes, otherwise known as the "Careers" in the highly-anticipated movie. The "Careers" are tributes that have trained throughout their whole lives for the Hunger Games.
Based on the first book in a trilogy by Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games tells the story of a futuristic world where the government forces children to fight each other to the death on live television in an event called the Hunger Games.
Jamieson and Macken join an already packed cast that includes Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen), Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne), Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark) and Elizabeth Banks (Effie Trinket).
In addition, John C. Reilly is in talks for a role in the movie as well. He would reportedly play Haymitch Abernathy, mentor to Lawrence's Katniss and Hutcherson's Peeta.
The Hunger Games is expected to open in theatres on March 23, 2012.
