Bryan Cranston joins 'Rock of Ages' cast

Shankman confirmed the news on Twitter yesterday that the Breaking Bad star had signed on to star as the major of Los Angeles.
"So honoured! Bryan Cranston is joining the cast of #rockofagesmovie! LA has a mayor!," Shankman tweeted.
Cranston will now join the film's extensive cast list, which currently includes Catherine Zeta-Jones, Tom Cruise, Mary J. Blige, Russell Brand, Alec Baldwin and Paul Giamatti.
The former Malcolm in the Middle star was also recently cast as the main villain in Neal H. Moritz's upcoming remake of Total Recall, opposite Colin Farrell.
Rock of Ages is due to begin production later this month for an expected release on June 1, 2012.
