Sebastian Stan joins cast of 'Gone'

Rising star Sebastian Stan has reportedly joined the cast of the upcoming thriller Gone.

Variety reports that Stan has been cast in an unspecified role in the film, part of a joint venture between Summit Entertainment and Lakeshore Entertainment.

Stan was previously known for his recurring role as Carter Baizen on The CW's Gossip Girl, but will soon be seen opposite Chris Evans in Captain America: The First Avenger as Steve Rogers's sidekick Bucky Barnes.

Former Home and Away regular Socratis Otto has also been signed for Gone, which follows a kidnapping survivor attempting to track down her attacker in order to rescue her sister.

Stan and Otto will now join previously-announced cast members including Amanda Seyfried, Jennifer Carpenter and American Beauty star Wes Bentley.

Brazilian director Heitor Dhalia is set to helm the film, which has been scripted by Allison Burnett.

Gone is due to begin filming in Portland, Oregon later this month.
