Laura Vandervoort joins MacFarlane's 'Ted'

The V and Smallville actress will join Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Joel McHale, Giovanni Ribisi and Patrick Warburton in the Family Guy creator's major directorial debut.
Vandervoort will portray a beautiful but clueless co-worker of Wahlberg's character John. The two work together at a rental car company, reports Deadline.
Ted follows Wahlberg's John as his teddy bear comes to life after a childhood wish 25 years earlier.
Production is expected to begin on July 13, 2012.
90210 star Jessica Stroup also recently joined the film's cast.
Vandervoort has agreed to make another guest appearance as Kara in the final season of Smallville.
The actress recently said that viewers would be "shocked" by the second season finale of V.
