Malin Akerman boards 'Rock of Ages'

The Bang Bang Club actress will star as Constance, a journalist who falls for rock star Stacee Jaxx, played by Tom Cruise, reports Deadline.
"After Batman stole anne (sic) Hathaway and Superman gobbled up Amy Adams, I finally cast my Constance Stack: welcome to #rockofagesmovie Malin Akerman!" Shankman wrote on his Twitter page on Wednesday.
Akerman joins an all-star cast which includes Catherine Zeta-Jones, Paul Giamatti, Russell Brand, Alec Baldwin and Mary J. Blige.
Shooting will begin on Rock of Ages later this month. The film is due for release in June 2012.
