Kelly Preston boards Gotti family biopic

Kelly Preston has signed on for a role in the upcoming mob family biopic Gotti: Three Generations.

The actress will play Victoria DiGiorgio, the wife of gangster boss John Gotti, played by her real-life husband John Travolta, reports The New York Daily News.

Producer Marc Fiore told the publication: "We're really excited to have Kelly on board. We are friends with the Travoltas, and they have great chemistry. It will be great onscreen. It's a very tender relationship in the screenplay."

Travolta and Preston's daughter Ella Bleu will also appear in the film as the Gottis' daughter Angel.

Preston joins an ensemble cast which already includes Steve Buscemi and Lindsay Lohan in the role of Kim Gotti. During an appearance on Tonight with Jay Leno last week, Lohan revealed that she met John Gotti when she was just three years old.

Barry Levinson was recently announced as the director of the project following the exit of Nick Cassavetes due to scheduling conflicts.
