Nicolas Cage sci-fi thriller commences

Nicolas Cage's new sci-fi thriller Next has gone into production.
Directed by Lee Tamahori, the film focuses on a man (Cage) with the ability to see future events and therefore affect their outcome. Pursued by the FBI who want to use his abilities, he is torn between saving the world and the woman he loves. Julianne Moore and Jessica Biel also star.
Next was written by Gary Goldman based on Philip K. Dick's story The Golden Man. Other films based on Dick's work include Minority Report, Blade Runner and Screamers.
The movie will hit cinemas in 2007.
