Daniel Radcliffe defends 'Deathly Hallows' split

Back in 2008, Warner Bros confirmed that it would split Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows into two separate movies, a decision which sparked some degree of criticism.
However, franchise star Radcliffe insisted that they wouldn't have been able to do the J.K. Rowling novel justice in the space of only one movie.
"We could never have adapted it into one film," Radcliffe told Total Film.
"All the books from The Goblet of Fire onwards were big, but with every one you could cut swathes out without detracting from the main story. In The Deathly Hallows there are no subplots. It's all the same story and it's hard to lose a page."
The actor added: "If we'd have done it in one film we'd have had to reconfigure the entire story and it just wouldn't have been an adaptation of the book."
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 is due out in cinemas worldwide on July 15.
