Rachel Weisz may join Johnny Depp's 'Thin Man'

According to Cinema Blend, while talks with the actress have yet to officially begin, Weisz is at the top of the studio's wishlist to play female detective Nora Charles.
The 1934 original, based on Dashiell Hammett's noir detective novel, starred William Powell and Myrna Loy as the crime-solving married couple.
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Depp had signed on to star as Nick Charles, while Chicago director Rob Marshall will helm the project.
Weisz is currently also in talks to star opposite Jeremy Renner in The Bourne Legacy, and is negotiating for a main role in Sam Raimi's Oz, The Great and Powerful.
Warner Bros are waiting for Depp's hectic schedule to calm down before moving forward on The Thin Man.
