The actor will join Mickey Rourke and Colin Farrell in the film, Variety reports.
Farrell will play a blocked screenwriter who gets tangled up in his friends' schemes to kidnap dogs. The group run into trouble when they are implicated in the disappearance of a gangster's dog.
Walken and Rockwell will portray the hapless schemers, while Rourke will take on the role of the local crime lord.
In Bruges director Martin McDonagh will helm the movie from his own script, with several members of the production team for the hitman comedy reuniting for the new film.
Walken also recently committed to the indie The Late Quartet, which depicts the 25-year reunion of the squabbling members of a string quartet.
