The actor refused to elaborate on which parts of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn will deviate from the novel, but claimed that no-one will be disappointed.
"There are things that for people who even know the books very, very well, I think will be surprises," Sheen revealed to MTV News.
"Without giving too much away there are things that stay very true to the book, but there are a couple of things that I think will draw gasps of breath from people," he explained.
Summit Entertainment confirmed in June last year that they would release the final volume in Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series as two separate films.
"There are all the moments that you would hope in there and a few others that maybe people aren't expecting," Sheen added.
Yesterday, Sheen teased that his character, the Volturi leader Aro, would feature more prominently in the final two films.
The actor will next be seen opposite his real-life girlfriend Rachel McAdams in the Woody Allen-directed romantic comedy Midnight in Paris.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 is due to be released in cinemas on November 18.
