Matthew Goode to join thriller 'Overdrive'?

Matthew Goode is in talks to star in the thriller Overdrive.

The Watchmen star could be playing one half of a car thieving duo who find more than they bargained for when they run into a local crime lord on their travels around France, Variety reports.

Fellow Brit actor Alex Pettyfer is also in negotiations to play his brother and partner in crime.

Director Antonio Negret will be helming from a script penned by Wanted writers Derek Haas and Michael Brandt.

First-time producer Pierre More, who directed Taken, describes the movie as a cross between Point Break and The Hangover.

Goode was reportedly the runner-up to play Superman in the forthcoming reboot of the franchise.

Pettyfer has just been cast in the Steven Soderbergh film Magic Mike, where he will play Channing Tatum.
