Alexander Skarsgård joins 'What Maisie Knew'

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the True Blood star will play Julianne Moore's husband in the upcoming adaptation of the Henry James novel of the same name.
British actor Steve Coogan (Tropic Thunder) has also joined the film.
Set in contemporary New York, the movie tells the story of Maisie, a 6-year-old girl who finds herself at the centre of her parents' divorce. Moore and Coogan will play Maisie's parents, while Skarsgård portrays Moore's new husband.
The 34-year-old actor can be seen next on the big screen in the remake of the 1971 film Straw Dogs, opposite rumoured girlfriend Kate Bosworth and James Marsden.
Skarsgård will also star in the fourth season of True Blood, which will return on June 26 at 9pm on HBO.
