'Harry Potter' star for 'The Mortal Instruments'?

The actor, best known for playing Gellert Grindelwald, could be starring opposite Lily Collins, who will play 15-year old Clary in the adaptation of the fantasy novel series by Cassandra Clare, The Wrap claims.
Bowers would play the shadow hunter Jace, who is part of a mysterious tribe which fights demons and can seemingly help Clary find her mother, who has disappeared overnight.
Ed Speelers of Eragon and newcomer Leebo Freeman also tested for the role in the first instalment, titled City of Bones.
Collins, 22, will next be seen in another adaptation of fairytale Snow White, starring opposite Julia Roberts.
Makers Screen Gems expects the novel series to become a franchise, according to the site.
