Mel Gibson in talks for 'Sleight of Hand'

Variety reports that Gibson is keen to join the film, which already boasts an ensemble cast including the likes of Kiefer Sutherland, Eric Cantona, Thomas Jane, Til Schweiger and Gerard Depardieu.
The film follows a gang of small time criminals who find themselves in possession of a special gold coin belonging to a French gangster and are forced to find a way to repay him.
Gibson was at the Cannes Film Festival this weekend promoting his new film The Beaver, which has so far received a lukewarm reception at the US box office.
Sleight of Hand is scheduled to begin filming in July.
