Director Erik Von Looy is helming an English-language remake of his 2008 thriller.
Loft focuses on a group of married men who all share an apartment where each of them brings their mistresses, until one day they discover the body of a dead woman there.
According to Variety, Lucas is in talks for one of the film's lead female roles, a woman who befriends the group during their distress.
Lucas is currently best known for her role as a minor villain in Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, but will soon be seen as the goddess Athena in The Immortals, as well as opposite Chris Hemsworth in the remake of Red Dawn.
The likes of Patrick Wilson, James Marsden and Wentworth Miller have already been cast as lead characters in the project.
A Nightmare on Elm Street writer Wesley Strick is penning an adaptation of Bart De Pauw's original script.
Principal photography on Loft is due to begin this summer for an expected release in early 2012.
