According to Screen Rant, Neill does not see a future for the popular franchise, especially since author Michael Crichton and visual effects supervisor Stan Winston passed away.
"I think we've told the story. I think it's done," he said. "Stan Winston who made those beautiful dinosaurs died. So, no Stan, no Jurassic Park really … [and author Michael] Crichton died too."
The Tudors actor will star in Lost creator J.J. Abrams's new series Alcatraz in early 2012. Neill joined the pilot in late 2010. He plays the head of a government agency. Star Trek director Abrams recently described the series as "kick-ass".
Jurassic Park III director Joe Johnston previously said that the script for Jurassic Park IV has a great story, claiming that the film will set up a new trilogy.
The last Jurassic Park movie was released nearly 10 years ago.
