Todd Phillips has revealed that Bill Clinton is a fan of his movies The Hangover and Old School.

The director revealed that former US President Clinton, who met the cast and crew of The Hangover Part II when the sequel was filming in Bangkok, spends his time on long-haul flights watching comedy films.

"He's a fan not only of The Hangover but movies in general," Phillips told Entertainment Weekly. "The guy flies every day all over the world, and they watch movies on the plane. He just loves movies. He loved Old School. He loved The A-Team."

The Hangover star Bradley Cooper added that Clinton had asked him about the possibility of an A-Team sequel.

"That was the first thing he said when he sat down: 'Is there going to be an A-Team 2 - and can I be in it?' It was like, 'This is a joke, right?'"

Clinton also professed his love for the critically-panned 2007 film Who's Your Caddy?, allegedly telling Phillips he thought it was "a crazy movie".

Clinton had been linked to a cameo role in The Hangover Part II, but Phillips explained that the politician was never going to feature in the movie.

"There's a simple explanation: Clinton was coming to Bangkok to give a speech, and we were honoured enough to have dinner with him afterward. Somebody saw the guys from The Hangover with Bill Clinton and it just became this whole thing."
