Tarantino to make Hendrix film
Published Friday, Apr 28 2006, 19:13 BST | By David Cribb
Renowned director Quentin Tarantino is looking to make a film about rock legend Jimi Hendrix.
Filming is planned to commence later in the year in Seattle, with the pre-production already well underway. The film is aiming for a release in 2007, but no cast or title have yet been chosen.
The project is reportedly being fully backed by Hendrix's estate, with the guitarist's brother Leon lined up to work with Tarantino on the story.
