Jennifer Lawrence defends 'Hunger Games' leads

Following the actress's casting as heroine Katniss Everdeen, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth were also cast as the character's two main love interests, Peeta and Gale, respectively.
Lawrence said that the two actors perfectly embody their characters, and advised fans to wait for the film before judging whether or not the casting was right.
"[Josh is] charming, he's sweet, he's down to earth, he's normal," Lawrence told EW. "He embodies all of it and brings it all to Peeta.
"So when you meet him he's got all of these great qualities and every single one of them come across in every line he says out loud as Peeta."
Of the younger Hemsworth brother, she said: "Liam is just a solid brick of muscle and you look at him and you're like, 'Oh, okay great!' But he's got depth and he's interesting and at the same time he's natural and he flows."
The adaptation will also star the likes of Wes Bentley, Stanley Tucci, Woody Harrelson, Lenny Kravitz, and Toby Jones.
The Hunger Games is currently expected in cinemas on March 23, 2012.
