Jennifer Lawrence 'got X-Men advice from Romijn'

In an interview with The Washington Post, the Winter's Bone actress confessed that Romijn's advice helped her feel less restricted during the filming process and kept her from stressing out.
"Her advice was mostly just kind of, 'Don't worry about it. Don't listen to what they tell you,'" she explained. "Because they tell you not to drink alcohol or eat spicy food, because they remove the make-up with alcohol. And she just said, 'Don't listen to that. It will drive you crazy.'"
Lawrence went on to say that while she felt inspired by Romijn's incarnation of the character, she enjoyed the freedom to play around and create something new with the part.
"I definitely watched [Romijn]. She has a very Mystique walk, which I had to get down. But really, for the most part - doing a prequel is great because you do have room to kind of free this character and how they got to where they are instead of being a slave to exactly what the previous actor did," she said.
Lawrence previously said that she and her X-Men co-stars got along well and all developed close friendships during filming.
