Olivia Wilde joins Bradley Cooper in 'The Words'

Olivia Wilde has signed up to the cast of the thriller The Words.

The House star will play a small role in the drama which centres on a plagiarist forced to deal with the consequence of his crime, Variety reports.

Bradley Cooper will take on the central role, though the two will reportedly not appear in any scenes together.

The actress will be working again with Tron: Legacy writers Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal, who will make their directorial debut with the project.

Other cast confirmations include The Chronicles of Narnia's Ben Barnes, Jeremy Irons and Avatar's Zoe Saldana.

Wilde, who recently returned to the US medical drama, will next be seen in genre mashup Cowboys & Aliens and The Change-Up.

She and Hangover II lead Cooper were recently rumoured to be dating.
